Selection Criteria - Applicant Age: 23-35 years old (preferred) - Mediums: painting, photography, sculpture, installation, video, sound and other related mediums - Nationality: Lebanese or currently residing in Lebanon - Experience: Participated in at least one group show

Support & Benefits - Material, production, and installation budget will be provided and discussed with the applicant on a case-by-case basis - Logistical and curatorial support from the team

Timeline - Apply by: May 15th, 2018 - Artists Notified: May 30th, 2018 - Exhibition Dates: August 28th – September 7th, 2018

About The Beirut Art Residency in partnership with Societe Generale de Banque au Liban is proud to announce the third edition of the August Show; an open call for Beirut-based artists.  This opportunity offers one selected artist the chance to realize a solo exhibition at BAR's Project Space guided by expert curatorial advice. Proposals should be for new work or work which has not been exhibited before. Applicants will be judged on the innovative nature of their concept and its potential for realization. Previous applicants of the August Show may resubmit their proposals to be reevaluated.
